Who's Pro?
Who's Pro?
Tommy White...#0018, #0022, #0040
Tommy has taken the Show Pro guitar to a whole new level since his association
almost 2 years ago. Many fellow steel players and artists such as Gene Watson &
Ronnie Milsap have inquired about what guitar he is using. They all collectively agree
it is the best tone ever. When Ricky Skaggs was looking for a pedal steel for his son
Luke, Tommy encouraged him to call Show Pro and look no further.
As many of you know, Tommy is making waves throughout the jazz world too.
Tommy recently contributed with his blue Show Pro to what may be one of the
biggest jazz recordings to come out this year. I'm sure that announcement will come
soon, and take pedal steel to another realm. Tommy's playing is unmatched in any
style of music today, and he is one of the most respected players around.
Lloyd Green...#0001
This was our first Show Pro bearing the name of "The Lloyd Green" model. It
seemed fitting that Lloyd have the 1st Show Pro; since it was in part inspired by him.
"A vintage look and classic sound with the accuracy and tuning of today's modern
mechanics."
Since receiving his Show Pro, Lloyd has appeared with Jeff Bates on "Grand Ole
Opry Live". He has also recorded Show Pro 0001 with Charlie Pride, Chely
Wright, Gene Watson, Crystal Gayle and Daryle Singletary to name a few. Thanks
to Lloyd the demand for this model has been tremendous.
Steve Hinson...The Lloyd Green #0003
After hearing about the Show Pro design, Steve was on board before the 1st Show
Pro was built, and was the 1st order placed. Steve has toured with George Jones,
Ray Price, Dolly Parton, John Conlee, Vern Gosdin, and Carl & Pearl Butler to
name a few. Steve has also been with Randy Travis for 13 years. He is one of
Nashville's top session players now and has recorded with such artists as Josh
Turner, Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins and Keith Anderson.
Russ Pahl...Russ Pahl Jr #0004 and #0014
The most unconventional steel player in Nashville and much sought after. Russ's first
Show Pro was a custom Double Neck Show Pro with multiple pickups & dual scale
necks for alternate tunings which has producers asking for the Show Pro by name.
A second Show Pro Russ Pahl project was recently completed . This guitar is a
25"scale with two neck pickups, spaced to the same specifications as the Gibson SG
guitar. The pickups are special windings from Jason Lollar. The neck is a three
piece laminate consisting of "rosewood, mahogany, rosewood" layering. The
keyhead is slotted for the neck to go through and the roller nut block sits down
directly on the neck. This design gave the guitar a unique tone and is loud as a
cannon with the heavier guage strings tuned to Eb9th. Russ used the back ledge for
the toggle switch, volume and tone controls for blending of the two. This guitar was
used on 15 sessions the first week he had it.
After using the second Show Pro for a while, Russ discovered with different pickup
combinations and blending he could achieve what he wanted with just one neck. We
gutted his first guitar and started from square one. A new laminated neck was made
to accommodate a second neck pickup. Russ has recently started doing his own
winding for his guitars, along with a hum cancelling dummy coil device that installs
underneath the guitar.
Some of the artists Russ has recorded with are John Mellencamp, Terri Clark and Jo
Dee Messina. Russ is currently touring with Vince Gill. Russ' innovations are taking
pedal steel to new places.
Dan Dugmore...The Lloyd Green #0006
Linda Ronstadt's version of Blue Bayou with Dan's solo is legendary. During that
period of time Dan was a member of Linda's as well as James Taylor's bands. After
leaving the west coast in the early 90's Dan quickly started to record with multiple
artists such as Martina McBride, Deena Carter, Toby Keith, Faith Hill, Gary Allan,
Darius Rucker and the list goes on.
Kevin Post...The Lloyd Green #0010
Kevin toured with Terri Clark as band leader for over 10 years. Kevin is currently
touring with Blake Shelton. Kevin also produces and records on many sessions.
Robby Turner...The Lloyd Green #0016, The Double 10...#0051
Robby is a legend in the country music industry. Robby played several instruments
before he began playing pedal steel guitar and became an endorsee for Sho-Bud at
the age of 12. Robby has produced, recorded with, and played with several artists
during career; but he is probably best known for touring with "The Highwaymen" and
Waylon Jennings. Robby also toured with the Dixie Chicks in 2003 during their "Top
Of The World Tour".
Robby has recorded with the following artists Gary Allan, Deryl Dodd, Tanya
Tucker, Pam Tillis, Travis Tritt, Sara Evans, Randy Travis, and Paul Simon, Sheryl
Crow as well as Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson along with the Dixie Chicks and

Robby recently got his second Show Pro.
